As an independent not-for-profit, the Unified Water Label (UWLA) is committed to helping UK consumers understand their relationship with water and energy (for hot water use), and how their choice of UWLA product will help them use water wisely, reduce energy wastage and save them money on utility bills.
The Unified Water Label has partnered with water efficiency experts Save Water Save Money to introduce the Unified Water Label GetWaterSmart Marketplace, and for a more informed understanding of home use, the UWLA GetWaterFit tool – see https://www.getwaterfit.co.uk/#/
All products featured on the Unified Water Label GetWaterSmart Marketplace are qualified to be water efficient, accredited with either the Unified Water Label or Smart Drop Certification.
The Unified Water Label requires registration, testing and labelling of water saving products to empower consumers to make an informed choice about the water efficiency of relevant products.
Products identified as water efficient save water but do not have an associated flow or flush rate which Unified Water Label registered products have.
The Smart Drop Certified label applies to those water efficient products that do not fall into the criteria required by UK water saving and energy efficiency labels.
WaterSafe is a free online directory and national accreditation body for competent and qualified plumbers.
